It been at least 2 years since i went on a trip and thanks to the companionship of my colleagues, we plan a trip to KL one month ago.
21 AprilCamping at my colleague house as we are taking a super early flight.
Flight to take off @ 6 plus but must be @ airport @ 4 plus.
After 2 assignments in the week and a 3 hours lesson, i headed to her house and can you imagine, i step in at 10
mins approximate to 12pm! So after a bath and me being overexcited, didn't sleep much and off to the
airport!
22 AprilReach budget terminal and it reminds me too much of old airport as it is really a far call from T1, 2 & 3. So off we are to check in, had a light
breakfast of bread, soft boil egg and
Tim sum. Off
Singapore and landed in KL. Once reached, i really appreciate
Singapore budget terminal as in
comparison, the differences is huge and it is really small. missed flying by plane so much once on plane. so we reach and with our research, we took the
skybus to KL
sentral and took their monorail to our hotel;
Melia hotel (directly opposite
bejayan times square). walk round the shopping malls (low
yat,
sugei wang...). tired and back to hotel for a rest. waited an hour for hotel room and the front desk keep giving us welcome drinks but we just wanted our room for rest! so lastly, they
swap our room and gave us. we requested for a king size but was given two single so troubled housekeeping to join our bed...
haha....we are lucky to have 2 pillow and a blanket each!
after much rest, off to
Chinatown we go! we have a
sumptuous meal,
claypot rice,
sambal fish,
bbq items and more.... we went to walk their night market and am please with my "
sha jia" skills! $ 120 bag for 60 and 45 wallet for 20! yeah! love it so much, the pleasure of successful getting the stuff at the $ i think it was worth! Had a long day and had a nice walk hunting for
durian after putting down our 'war' prize. the
durian people really want to cheat us, RM17 for 1kg for normal
durian and it is approximate RM50 for one
durian!!
OMG! so we walk and had corn on the cob....
ended the day with a relaxing bubble bath in the hotel!
23 Aprilstarted the day with strawberry and a nice movie on star world and off to
conquer the shopping district once again! first, off to A&W. wasn't as
fantastic as
expected. walk to
Pavilion and all stuff are CONTROL (control price with exchange rate factored in) so it wasn't worth buying any. walk around and all stuff are CONTROL.... so no shopping prize :( went for massage. RM75 for an hour and a half....
shiok but still arching for that massage.... off to
sungei wang for my spectacles.... two pair with high index @ RM 340!! isn't that cheap! wanted to have an image makeover with haircut but budget have been spent finished so maybe next time :( tired us headed back to hotel to put our stuff and after much slacking we decided to move our body to
bejayan time square!
argh it is so big that 3 hours just fly past so fast we didn't finished shopping even 1/3 of it!!
ended with supper from
KFC and
KFC in KL is really better! bought
krispy kreme for family....
had a fulling stomach to a good night sleep.
24 Aprilwoke up with the idea of filling my stomach with hotel BUFFET breakfast! how i wish they had
scrabble egg but am
satisfied with sunny side up and omelet... half boiled was disappointed, it was watery like 1/4 percent cooked only. had a bowl of cereal, a plate of
nasi lemak, bowl of been
hoon soup , ham, sausages and bread! eat lots and lots! filling! went back to room to enjoy our last day in KL and off we are to airport. On the
skybus, we just realise that we were cheated. We wanted to buy return ticket on the 1st day we reached but the person gave us to tickets instead. they refuse to allow us to exchange. luckily it was not that expensive or we will be so angry.
reached airport very early, had a meal at OLD TOWN COFFEE and most nonsense chatting and poof am back in
Singapore.
Thing i learnt:
it is really easy to travel in KL.
there is famous
Amos in every shopping mall that i went.
sungei wang and
bejayan time square is really big and confusing esp
sungei wang.
Mishaps:
lost my
ezlink card (found @ home)
left my tee shirts @ colleague house
losing way in
sungei wang and wasted much time trying to find exit
cheated by the bus conductor of
skybusTo conclude, it was a super good experience and has really
energised me!
